VENUE

The workshop is being held at Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary in the northern part of Perak State, Malaysia. The sanctuary is situated at the edge of the forest in the hills of Larut Matang with incredible views of the surrounding forest.

From Sasanarakkha Buddhist Sanctuary's Yahoo Groups page, they say this:

Sitting at the edge of a forest, set amidst lush green hills and picturesque scenery, yet fully equipped with modern facilities, SBS is a haven for quiet retreats, workshops ....

Watch this slideshow with lots of beautiful pictures and very pretty instrumental acoustic music.

This is a Buddhist sanctuary. So workshop participants are certainly free to partake in Buddhist practices and ceremonies outside of the workshop schedule, however there is no requirement for anyone to be a Buddhist, or partake in any Buddhist ceremony. If you don't already know about Buddhism, you can take this opportunity to get acquainted with this beautiful way of life.
